Terms and conditions of sale

These terms and conditions of sale govern the passenger transport services offered by SASU By My Taxi (licensed taxi no. 412) via the site https://bymytaxi.com: metered trips, chauffeur hire, and express courier services (transport of parcels and luggage, an activity distinct from passenger transport).

Booking is made via the online quote form, then confirmed by phone, WhatsApp, email, or online payment depending on the path chosen. The price shown at the time of booking is an estimate; the final amount due is that of the vehicle's approved taximeter, except for services announced as fixed-price (chauffeur hire, certain long-distance trips negotiated directly).

Rates include the pickup fee, the booking fee, and the applicable per-kilometre rate (increased at night, on Sundays and on public holidays), plus any applicable surcharges (extra passengers, pets, bulky luggage), in accordance with the current rate schedule. Payment is made either online by card at the time of booking (secure payment processed by Stripe) or directly with the driver at the end of the trip.

Any cancellation must be reported as soon as possible by phone or WhatsApp. A minimum notice period is required before the scheduled pickup time, below which the pickup fee may be charged:

• 30 minutes for a pickup in Lyon and its metropolitan area;
• 1 hour 30 minutes for a pickup outside Lyon and its metropolitan area.

A customer who is not present at the meeting point (no-show) more than 10 minutes after the agreed time may also be charged the pickup fee. If payment was already made online, this amount is refunded, less this fee where applicable.

In accordance with Article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal does not apply to passenger transport services provided on a specific date or at a specific frequency: a booking is therefore final upon confirmation, subject to the cancellation terms above.

The vehicle and the passenger transport service are covered by the insurance required for taxi activity. SASU By My Taxi cannot be held liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond its control (traffic conditions, force majeure events).

These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought first by contacting bymytaxi@gmail.com before any legal action.
